Solar Return & Relationship Consultations

If requesting a solar return consultation, please provide your current place of residence (city, state/province, and country) as well as your birth information. If you were, or expect to be, in a different location on your closest birthday, please include that location as well.

If you are seeking guidance around a relationship (romantic, familial, or platonic), please include the other person’s date, time (if known) and place of birth. Also, please be aware that I have the following restrictions on relationship consultations:

  • I do not discuss anything about the other person or their chart that is not directly relevant to their relationship with the client.

  • I only discuss actual, established relationships. If the “relationship” you’re asking about is just a crush, that’s not an actual relationship, only potential. It’s too soon, in my opinion, to bring astrology into it. If it’s a new relationship--just started seeing each other, or only together a few months--it’s still too soon, in my opinion, to bring astrology into it. At that stage, you should be getting to know the other person, not studying the map to them. When you’re past the initial honeymoon stage and you’ve been together long enough to be able to say from your own experience what this relationship is like for you, that’s when I’m willing to look at it astrologically.

  • I only discuss what’s actually happening in the relationship, not what might happen. “What might go wrong in this relationship?” is not a question I’m willing to address. If something actually is going wrong in the relationship, I am willing to address that. I’m also willing to address astrology-based fears and misconceptions. For example, “I’m a Libra and he’s a Capricorn, they say that makes us incompatible.” (Short answer: sun sign has little or nothing to do with compatibility.) Or, “An astrologer told me that this relationship will never work because my Pluto is square her moon.” (That one is more complex, but still not a hard no.) If an astrology-based fear is keeping you from being, or being fully present, in a relationship, even a new one, I’m willing to address that, although the consultation will naturally be focused on you much more than your partner.

  • Any relationship question that requires another person’s birth chart is a question I address in private consultation only. Other types of questions are also suitable for the Ask the Astrologer feature, but for that feature, I only accept the letter writer’s birth information, not anyone else’s, which means the question has to be answerable based on your chart alone. If you are considering submitting a question there, in addition to or instead of a full consultation, save any questions involving other people for a full consultation.
